2. |
The manager must remove a pitcher when the pitcher reaches the maximum number of pitches allowed per day for that age group |
3. |
If the limit is reached while still pitching to a batter, the pitcher may continue until the batter is out or reaches base. |
4. |
The pitch counter should inform the umpire when a pitcher has delivered his/her maximum limit of pitches for the game. |
5. |
The player may remain in the game at another position. |
6 |
A pitcher who has thrown 41 or more pitches in a game may not play the position of catcher for the remainder of the game. If on the last batter faced the pitcher goes over 41 pitches they can finish the at bat and remain eligible to catch. The first pitch to said batter cannot be pitch 41. |
7. |
A player who catches three (3) or fewer innings and then throws 21 or more pitches is not permitted to return to the position of catcher. |
8. |
Any player, who has played the position of catcher for four (4) or more innings in a game is not eligible to pitch on that calendar day. |
9. |
Players once removed from pitching may not return as pitchers (except Int/Jr/Sr. and only if they have not been removed from play) |
10 |
Any pitches thrown while the ball is dead" (time is out), do not count toward the pitch count total |
11. |
There are no intentional walks--the pitches must be thrown and counted toward the pitch count total |
